Story
Hatch Chile World is a retail chile store with two locations in Ruidoso, New Mexico. It sells Hatch Valley chile products from the Lytle family farms in Hatch, including frozen green chile, salsas and sauces, red chile sauce, dried pods and powders, and dip and soup mixes. The store is run by Vernon and Tim Lytle, whose family has grown chile in the Hatch Valley since 1931. Jim Lytle, a forebear of the current owners, worked with New Mexico State University on the NuMex Big Jim chile released in 1975.
